Obituary of Michael J Kolenda

Michael Joseph Kolenda, 55, of Saugus, died early on Monday April 3 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose following a brief illness. Born in Saugus, he was the son of the late Michael A and Alice T (Kijewski) Kolenda. He was raised in Saugus and later was at the Hogan Regional Center in Danvers before moving back to Saugus a few years ago. Michael leaves behind a sister Michelle Kolenda, a nephew Christopher Bari, and three nieces, Amber Leigh, Nikole Diane and Miranda Kolenda, and is also survived by his two guardians, Alice Shea and Carol Herrick. He was predeceased by his brother Paul Michael Kolenda. Following cremation, a graveside service is scheduled for Wednesday April 19 at the family lot at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Broadway, Lynn to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
