Obituary of Marion E Brown

Marion E (Witham) Brown, 91, of Peabody, died Tuesday morning at her home surrounded by her family following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Raymond W. Brown, Sr. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Elaine Witham. She was raised and educated in Gloucester and has spent the last 60 years living in Peabody. Following her graduation from high school, she attended Beverly School of Nursing at Beverly Hospital and received her degree in nursing. She was employed at the former Danvers State Hospital and later was employed at the J.B. Thomas Hospital in Peabody for many years. Finally, before retiring, she was employed BMW Press as a shipper/receiver. Marion loved her cats and dogs and loved spending time at her camp in New Hampshire on Round Pond. She also was a member of the Nurse Cadet Core as well. Following cremation, a family graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the family lot at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 100 Cedar Grove Ave in Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
