Obituary of Flora T. "Faye" Deeb

Flora T. "Faye" (Kaplan) Deeb, of Danvers, wife of the late Joseph John Deeb, entered into rest in the presence of her caring and loving family at Beverly Hospital on Monday, April 17, 2017. Faye was born in Chelsea on November 14, 1929 daughter of Louis and Goldie (Effron) Kaplan. Raised and educated in Chelsea she graduated from Chelsea High School in 1946, and in the 70’s she pursued her education at Boston College. In her late teens and early 20’s Faye worked in Washington D.C. as a secretary, returning to Chelsea following the death of her mother. In 1960, she married the love of her life Joseph and they made their home in Peabody. Faye was a loving mother who created a home for her son Steven and later she enjoyed following her 3 grandchildren’s accomplishments. Faye was an avid golfer, a member of the Red Hat Society, enjoyed traveling, going to casinos and excelled at needlepoint. Faye is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Steven J. and Lauren S. Deeb of Rowley, her 3 cherished grandchildren, Steven J. Deeb Jr., Adrianna L. Deeb and Ayden L. Deeb; her dear cousins, Dorothy Sinewitz and her late husband Jack Sinewitz of Delray FL, and Roberta Bennett and her husband Paul of Portland OR, and her dearest friend Thelma Naymie of Roslindale. Her Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur at 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requested that contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association MA/NH Chapter, www.alz.org/MANH .
