Obituary of Adam Lawrence Slaven
Adam Lawrence Slaven, 24, of Peabody, died Tuesday at the Mass General Hospital, Boston from injuries sustained in a car accident on Route 1 North in Revere on Saturday, October 11, 2003.
He was born in Salem, Ma., on Decembet 15, 1978, the son of Lawrence and Sallyann (Theriault) Salven of Peabody and was a lifelong resident of Peabody.
He was a graduate of Peabody High School in 1996 and while there played on the Hockey team and was varsity captain in his senior year.
For the past 6 years he had been employed at the Curran Brothers Florist in Danvers along with his father. He also worked as a disc jockey under the name of DJ Adam S at the Karma Nigh Club in Boston and the Tantra Club in Saugus.
He was mechanically inclined and loved working on his Mustang and his Honda Motorcycle. He also loved making music discs.
Surviving him besides his parents are 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, Eric and Jody Slaven and Jordan Slaven all of Peabody; his grandmothers, Frances Theriault of Peabody and Dorothy Slaven of Salem, his true love of 7 years, Colleen Driscoll of
Peabody, his aunts and uncles, Cindy Theriault of Peabody, Henry Theriault, Cheryl Grocki and Michael and Jeff Slaven all of Salem, Joyce Paulson of Fairhaven, Ma., and
Brenda White of Harrison, Me. and a large number of extended family and friends. He was the Grandson of the late Henry J. Theriault and recently Lawrence Slaven Sr.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody, Facility. Visiting hours on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In his memory, gifts may be made to the Adam L. Slaven Scholarship Fund, c/o Eastern Bank, 37 Foster St., Peabody, Ma. 01960.
