Obituary of Diane J. (Clark) Lattanzi
Diane J. (Clark) Lattanzi PEABODY – Diane J. (Clark) Lattanzi, 72, died peacefully on Thursday evening May 4, 2017 at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston, following an extended illness, while in the comforting presence of her family. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Frances (Bates) Clark. She grew up in Lynn and in Peabody, and graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1962. Soon after, she graduated from the Salem Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse. Diane worked at Salem Hospital for over 25 years as an IV and Emergency Room Nurse. Following her time at Salem Hospital, she worked for over 20 years with Harvard Vanguard at the Kenmore location in the Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology departments. Her dedication and kindness as a nurse earned her the love and respect of patients and colleagues, including awards for excellence. Diane was happiest when surrounded by her family. She spent countless hours teaching her grandchildren to fish, vacationing at Papoose Pond Campground in Maine, and orchestrating Sunday family dinners as she was quite the cook. She is survived by a son, two daughters, and seven grandchildren, Mark Lattanzi and his wife Lori and their children Joseph and Thomas of South Hamilton, Susan Mulligan and her husband Patrick and their children Tyler and Laurel of Salem, and Karen Mathews and her husband Gary and their children Christopher, Alexa and Olivia of Peabody; her sister Ellen Pyburn and her husband Dennis of Danvers, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Benjamin Clark of Huntington Beach, CA. Following cremation, relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a visitation on Tuesday from 4 – 8 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, with her Funeral Service on Wednesday May 10, 2017 at 11 AM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Diane Lattanzi to support cancer research and patient care at Dana Farber, P.O.
