Obituary of Catherine Dunn Clifford

Catherine D. (Dunn) Clifford, 84, of Peabody, died early Friday morning at the Cedar Glen Nursing Home following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Francis M Clifford with whom she shared over 59 years of marriage. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late John and Julia (Sullivan) Dunn. She was a lifelong resident of the city and graduated from Peabody High School in 1937. She had worked for the city of Peabody as an executive secretary for the Peabody Re-Development Authority until her retirement many years ago. She also enjoyed knitting and reading. Besides her loving husband she is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Vickie Clifford of Middleton and Daniel and Linda Clifford of Danvers; a daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Gary Fellows of Middleton, 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held on Monday at 8:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody Facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church, Peabody at 9:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend.
