Obituary of Aciolino M. Machado

Aciolino M. Machado, 54, of Peabody, passed away early Wednesday morning at the North Shore Medical Center-Salem Hospital following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Maria Gloria (Cunha) Machado. Aciolino was born in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal on Decmeber 31, 1962, son of the late Antonio and Zulmira (Dos Santos) Machado. He was raised and educated there before moving to the United States in 1981. He worked as a fish cutter in Gloucester, prior to his illness. Mr. Machado was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Peabody, a member for the Our Lady of Help Hall, Clube de Luis Camoes, and the Banda Recreativa de Peabody, all in Peabody. Many hobbies that he enjoyed were fishing, making his own wine, but most importantly spending time and being surrounded by his family, which was the most important thing to him. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Besides his loving wife, Maria, he is survived by his sons, Jason Machado, Dylan Machado, and Danny Machado; his grandson, Zachary Machado; his siblings Manuel Machado, Antonio Machado, Maria Ramos, Jose Machado, Elsa Quadros, and Fernando Machado; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Danny Machado, and a brother, Eutimio Machado. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. His funeral will be held on Friday, May 19 at 8:00 AM at the Funeral Home followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 50 Walsh Ave., Peabody at 9:00 AM. He will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
