Obituary of Walter E. "Eddie" Liberge

Walter E. “Eddie” Liberge 76, of Saugus, husband of Judith S. (McAdoo) Liberge, passed away in the presence of his loving family on Monday, May 22, 2017 at the NSMC Salem Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Lynn, on February 10, 1941, son of the late Walter and Theresa (Massa) Liberge. Raised in Lynn he graduated from Lynn Classical High School in 1958. Following his marriage in 1963, he moved to Saugus. Eddie was employed for 54 years as a machinist at General Electric in Lynn retiring in March 2017. He was a Past Exalted Ruler of the Elks East District and a Life member of the Saugus Elks Lodge #642, and was also involved with the Jaycees in Lynn for many years. In addition to his wife Judy with whom he shared 54 years of marriage, he is survived by 2 daughters, Lisa E. Roberts, and Michelle “Shelli” Liberge and her fiancée Chris P. Selinger all of Peabody, 2 grandchildren, Alison L. Roberts and Dean E. Roberts of Peabody; a former son-in-law, Edward D. Roberts of Danvers; a niece, Sharon Liberge, a nephew, Tom Liberge, and many cousins, friends and co-workers. He was also predeceased by his brother Thomas Liberge. His family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, May 30th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at 82 Lynn St., Peabody with his Celebration of Life service at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
