Obituary of Mary (Myers) Hern

Mary (Myers) Hern, 87, of Peabody, died early Wednesday morning, June28, 2017 at the Rosewood Nursing and Rehab Center in Peabody. She was the wife of the late Edward Hern. She was born in Chelsea, MA on August 23, 1929, the daughter of the late Alvin and Mary (Dwyer) Myers and was raised in Revere where she graduated from the Immaculate Reception High School in the class of 1947. Mary had been a clerk with the Veterans Affairs office of the U.S. Government at the Franklin St. Boston facility for 25 years prior to her retirement. She was an avid fan and enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. She is survived by her brother, John Myers and her sister-in-law, Mary Santos both of Peabody. A Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Family lot at Holy Cross Cemetery, Broadway, Malden MA. Please meet inside the gate at 10:45 AM.
