Obituary of David A. Pirrello, Sr.

David A. Pirrello, Sr. 77 PEABODY – David A. Pirrello, Sr., 77, died unexpectedly on Tuesday June 27, 2017 following a brief illness. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Carmello Pirrello and late Christine (Rossicone) Pirrello. He grew up in Medford and graduated from Medford High School. After serving in the military and being stationed in Germany for three years, Dave joined and eventually took over his father’s home improvement business, Keystone Window in Saugus, more recently known as Quality Modernizing. He practiced his trade for over 55 years, becoming a craftsman in the process. Dave belonged to many organizations over the years, including the Saugus Rotary Club, and the Route One Businessman’s Association. More recently he was a member of the TSL, VFW, Franco-American Club, American Legion Spear Post, and Polish Clubs. He loved dancing, country music, and always organized his many groups of friends to attend events together. He briefly acted as a promoter of several wildly successful dances. Dave loved his family dearly, and always looked forward to the holidays and family get-togethers. Throughout the years he enjoyed many activities including volleyball, wallyball, softball, and was on several bowling teams. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching the Red Sox. He especially enjoyed Patriots football parties with his sons and their friends. Dave is survived by a son David A. Pirrello, Jr. of Beverly; his brother Carmello “Bud” Pirrello of East Hartford, CT and his sister Christine Ficociello of Saugus; four grandchildren, Joseph Pirrello, Jr. and Michael Pirrello of Beverly, Meaghan Pirrello Fogleboch of Summerville, SC, and Christopher Dame Pirrello of White River Junction, VT, and 9 great-grandchildren, and his girlfriend Marlyn Bernier of Freemont, NH. He was also predeceased by his son Joseph Pirrello and brother Walter Pirrello. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a visitation on Wednesday July 5, 2017 from 5 – 8 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Memorial Service at 8 P.M. A Graveside Committal Service will be held with burial at 11 A.M. on Thursday at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody where relatives and friends are also invited to gather. Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Christian Church, 47 Grove Street Lynnfield, MA 01940.
