Obituary of Thomas K. Steele

Devoted Husband and Father Thomas K. Steele 63, of Peabody, husband of Kathleen (Connell) Steele, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House with his loving family at his side. Tom was born in Beverly, on April 3, 1954 son of the late Kenneth and Gloria (Panzero) Steele. Raised in Beverly, he graduated from Beverly High School in 1972. He pursued his education at Boston University and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in physical therapy, and his Masters from Lesley University. He was employed as a physical therapist at Hallmark Health in Malden. As a parent, Tom was involved and supportive of his children in the many recreational, athletic and educational opportunities they had throughout their lives. He and his family traveled extensively to Disney, and the National Parks, including the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone. He was an avid reader, sports fan, and he had a special place in his heart for animals. In addition to his wife Kathleen with whom he shared 25 years of marriage, Tom is survived by his cherished children, Michael Steele and Kaylee Steele of Peabody; a sister Gail Bedard and her husband Philip of Beverly; aunts, many sisters-in-law and bothers-in-law, nieces, cousins and friends. His family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at 82 Lynn St., Peabody. His funeral will be held from the funeral home at 9 a.m. on Monday July 10th followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 140 Lynn St., Peabody.
