Obituary of Thomas J. Crane

Thomas J. Crane, 75, of Peabody, died peacefully on Monday, July 17, 2017 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers with his family at his side. He was the devoted husband of Ann Marie (Masino) Crane with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. He was born in Lynn, MA on October 15, 1941, the son of David Crane of Peabody and the late Dorothy (King) Crane and resided in Peabody most of his life. He was a graduate of the Peabody Vocational High School in 1959. Thomas first worked at the Masino Leather Company in Peabody and later was employed at the Polyvinyl Company in Wilmington for many years. He then became a team leader at the Eastman Geletine Corp in Peabody until his retirement 15 years ago. Tom enjoyed going biking, fishing and kayaking both here and at Lake Ossipee N,H. ,He also loved listening to his CB radio scanner, doing archery and was a gifted woodcrafter making many artifacts. Tom was attached to his dogs Max and Brady, but his most precious time was spent being with his family and his seven granddaughters. He is survived by his wife, Ann Marie of Peabody, his daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa Morsett and James of Peabody and Linda Kuszmar and Donald of Marblehead, a son and daughter in law, Michael and Julie Crane of Haverhill, MA, a sister, Patricia Crane and Dan Holmes of Lowell, his seven granddaughters, Lauren and her fiancé, Jason Gigliello , Emily and Halle Kuszmar Liza and Lexie Morsett and 7month old twins Dylan and Jayme Crane, a sister-in-law and her husband Eleanor and Robert Sullivan and two special nieces, Kelly and Lori Sullivan. A Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 until 11:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility followed by a Service there at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Suite 102-B.
