Obituary of Donnie Higinbotham

Donnie Higinbotham 59, of Lynnfield, died peacefully at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading, on Thursday, July 20, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. His family was at his side. Born in Canonsburg, PA, on November 24, 1957, he was the son of the late Donald E. and Mildred E. (Dube) Higinbotham. Donnie grew up in Lynnfield and attended Lynnfield schools. Donnie was an auto mechanic. He worked alongside his father at West Peabody Service for many years. Most recently he was employed at Peterson’s Auto Body. Donnie was an avid race fan. He was a member of Eddie MacDonald’s “Grimm Racing Team” pit crew. This gave him the opportunity to travel to racetracks throughout the country. He is survived by his children, Daniel Jones of North Andover, Danielle Jones of Queens, NY, and Tiffany Rosten of Peabody; his siblings Annemarie and her husband Kevin Davidson of Claremont, NH, Donna and her husband Pete Canuel of Peabody, Thomas Higinbotham of Florida, Ronald and his wife Teresa (Zarro) Higinbotham of Peabody, and Dale Higinbotham of Lynnfield. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends. As per his wishes, a family service will be held at a later date.
