Obituary of Jason Nelson Jones

Jason Nelson Jones 41, of Peabody, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Union Hospital in Lynn. Jason was born in Boston, on March 9, 1976, the son of James E. Jones Jr. and Norma (Nelson) Jones. Raised in Peabody, he graduated from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School in 1994 and then pursued his education as a telecommunication technician. Jason began his working career as a telecommunication technician with the Electrical Contracting Industry of Greater Boston IBEW Local 103 which spanned over a ten-year period, and since 2007 he was employed in the same capacity at Advanced Cabling Concepts of Lowell. Jason enjoyed spending time with family and friends, boating, camping, listening to music and was a member of the First Church in Charlestown. In addition to his parents of Peabody, Jason is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, James E. Jones III and Denise M. Lucier of Peabody; 3 aunts, Janice Nelson of Peabody, Gail Nelson of Chelmsford, and Paula MacKenzie of Charlottetown PEI Canada; his cousins, Russell Nelson, Craig and Ivy Nelson and their children Theo and Sarah, and numerous friends. His family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, July 28th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at 82 Lynn St., Peabody. His celebration of life service will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 29th with Pastor Erik Maloy officiating.
