Obituary of Margaret M. (Rodden) Kelly

Margaret M. (Rodden) Kelly, 91, of Danvers and formerly of Peabody, MA, died on Friday, July 28, 2017 at the Putnam Farms Assisting Living Center in Danvers. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Kelly who died in 2015. She was born in Peabody, MA on February 27, 1926, the daughter of the late Hugh F. and Rose G. (Mc Elearney) Rodden and was raised in Salem MA graduating form St. James High School. Margaret then went to Simmons College in Boston where she received her BS Degree in Business. She had been a secretary with the former Bank of Boston for over 20 years prior to her retirement in 1990. Margaret was a member of St. Adelaide’s Church in West Peabody. She is survived by her siblings, Philip and his wife Mary Rodden of Beverly, Paul Rodden of Chelsea and Elizabeth and her husband Robert Smart of Wolfeboro Falls, NH. and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late H. Kenneth Rodden and the sister-in-law of the late Catherine Rodden.. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 until 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 2,2017 at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Adelaide’s Church, 508 Lowell St., West Peabody at 10:30 AM.
