Obituary of Patricia A. (LeCain) Quirk

Patricia A. (LeCain) Quirk, 82 PEABODY – Patricia A. (LeCain) Quirk, 82, beloved wife of the late Leo Quirk, Sr., died unexpectedly at her home on Friday July 28, 2017. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Roger and Hazel (Johnson) LeCain. She graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1952, and was a lifelong resident of the city. Mrs. Quirk studied with classes at North Shore Community College. She had worked as a Bookkeeper and secretary. She was a Teacher at A Child’s Place for 35 years in Peabody before retiring. Known affectionately as “Auntie Pat”, she enjoyed knitting and gardening. She enjoyed having family gatherings and being with children, and will be dearly missed. She is survived by two sons, Leo Quirk, Jr. and his wife Kathleen and Kevin Quirk and his wife Lisa all of Peabody; three grandchildren, Shannon Follis and her husband Danny, Patrick Quirk, and Chrissy Quirk all of Peabody; three great-grandchildren, known as “Gigi” to Logan, Xander, and Charlotte Follis all of Peabody; two sisters Ruth E. Pelletier of Salem and Barbara “Bobbie” Spencer of Peabody, and several nieces and nephews. Following cremation, relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a Funeral Service on Thursday August 3, 2017 at 10 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 – 7 P.M. in the funeral home. Urn burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Memorial donations may be made to the Boston Children’s Hospital at Peabody, 10 Centennial Dr., Peabody, MA 01960.
