Obituary of Marilyn J. (Tuttavilla) Limongiello

Marilyn Jean (Tuttavilla) Limongiello, 68, of Peabody and formerly of East Boston, died peacefully, Wednesday morning at the Marian Manor Nursing Home in Boston, following an eight-month courageous battle against cancer. Her Greatest passion was her love of family and friends. May her legacy be one of love and kindness. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert Limongiello. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Sophia Mary (DeFilippo) Tuttavilla. She was raised in East Boston and went to high school and business college in Boston. She has lived in Peabody for the past 45 years. Marilyn was employed with the city of Peabody and worked for over 31 years as a clerk at city hall before her illness eight months ago. She was a member of the North Shore Village Association, enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends, and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan as well. She will dearly be missed by all those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son, David Louis Limongiello and his wife Shanda Coughlin and their daughter Cayleigh, all of Peabody, her two sisters, Rosann Tuttavilla of East Boston, and Elaine and her husband Donald J Leete of East Boston, and by her cherished grandchildren, Katelyn and Tyler and their mother Lisa Larson Limongiello, all of Beverly, and her loving aunts and cousins. Following cremation, visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 3:00 until 6:00 PM followed by her Funeral Service at 6:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Marian Manor Nursing Home, 130 Dorchester St, Boston, MA 02127 or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
