Obituary of Marjorie Anne (Lake) Lyons
Marjorie Anne (Lake) Lyons, 69, of Peabody
Died Wednesday at the Ledgewood Nursing Home, Beverly after a 6 month illness.
She was the wife of the late Francis J. Lyons who died in 1995.
She was born in Salem, Ma on February 22, 1934, the daughter of the late
Donald E. and Mary M. (Singleton) Lake and was a lifelong resident of Peabody.
She had been a telephone operator with the N.E. Tel. & Tel. Company in the Peabody office for 5 years. Later after her husband’ s death, she was a volunteer at the Vencor
Hospital in Peabody.
She enjoyed caring for her family.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, P.G.A. Golf Pro Donald E. and Margaret Peg Lyons of Danvers, a daughter and son-in-law Debra and Ralph Knight 111, of Methuen, her companion, Ron Johnson of Peabody, 6 grandchildren, Andrew, Meghan, Colleen and Sean Lyons all of Danvers and Ryan and Madison Knight of Methuen.
Her funeral will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church, Peabody at 11:00 a.m. Burial in Star of the Sea Cemetery, Marblehead. Visiting hours on Sunday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of the No. Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, Ma. or the North Shore
