Obituary of MarieAnne (LeBlanc) Desrochers

MarieAnne (Leblanc) Desrochers, 66, of Lynn, passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening at the NSMC- Salem Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Ronald Desrochers, with whom she shared 45 years of marriage. MarieAnne was born on May 24, 1951, daughter of the late Alyre and Annette (Doucette) Leblanc of Lynn. MarieAnne was raised in Lynn and also attended Lynn Public Schools. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a secretary for B.R. Alexander in Boston for 10 years. MarieAnne enjoyed going up to her cabin in NH, she enjoyed reading, especially novels by Stephen King. She loved taking care of her grandchildren (her "Littles") and her nieces and nephews, most importantly being surrounded by her loving family. Besides her loving husband of 45 years, she is survived by her daughters and their spouses; Elaine and Joseph Blinn of Peabody, Sarajean Desrochers and Stephen Hanson of Peabody; her grandchildren, Madalyn Hanson, Izzabelle Hanson, Stephen Hanson, Jr., Maxximus Hanson, and Alexander Blinn; her siblings, John Leblanc, Irene Hachey, Christine Miller, Denise Provencher, Therese Geoghegan, and Pauline Naples. She was predeceased by her son, Kevin Desrochers. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 16, from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, August 17, at 9:00 AM at the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Ann’s Church, 140 Lynn St., Peabody at 10 A.M. She will be laid to rest in Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn. Memorial contributions may be made in MarieAnne’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
