Obituary of Clinton P. Vose Jr.
Clinton P. Vose Jr., 82, of Sylvania, Ohio, died Friday, May 5, 2006 in Sylvania, Ohio after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Rena P. (Taverner) Vose.
He was born and raised in Lawrence, MA and was a graduate of Lawrence High in 1942 receiving the Cregg Medal for academic and athletic excellence. He later graduated from Phillips Academy in Andover in 1943 and then enlisted in the U.S. Army serving with Gen. George Patten in the 3rd Army. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
Following the war, he attended Yale University and graduated in 1949 with a degree in Engineering. He worked for 40 years in the engineering and computer Sales prior to his retirement in 1989.
He had resided in Bay Village, Ohio and later in Dayton, Ohio before moving to Toledo 2 years ago.
He is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Clint and Deborah Vose and Eric and Karil Vose, a granddaughter, Kathryn and his step-grandchildren, Jesse, James and Christine Garrison. He was the brother of the late Richard A. Vose Sr.
A Visitation will be held on Friday from 12 Noon until 2:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility. A Funeral Service will be held there at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Flowers are accepted as well as Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society.
