I am so sorry to hear of your passing and I wish your family and friends my deepest condolences at this time. I only knew Jose as my neighbor for the past three years. I will miss having lunch with you on Sundays or sharing some laughs over wine whenever you came over to hang out with the neighbors downstairs. You are one of the lucky ones, because you were able to have a long career in the music industry with many contributions. I will definitely miss your stories about your time with the greats. You were quick with a smile and I always enjoyed our conversations over the fence. What I admire most about Jose was his dedication and care to his mother, Elvira. It is never easy to be a caregiver and at times Jose was frustrated and overwhelmed, but he carried on and continued looking after his mom with a lot of love. A very rare bird, indeed.

Play them blues where your goung my sweet friend, I will never forget our times filled with laughs. The partys at your house with Buddy Guy, and so many great times, our cartoons..i wont speak of.
