Obituary of Maria P. Tsouvalas

Maria P. Tsouvalas, 72, of Peabody died peacefully at her residence on Thursday, September 21, 2017 with her family at her side. She was born in Salem, MA on September 18, 1945, the daughter of the late Peter and Georgia (Pappas) Tsouvalas and was a lifelong resident of Peabody. She was a graduate of Peabody High School and later from Fisher Junior College. Maria had been a Sales associate with the former Jordan Marsh Co for five years at the North Shore Mall and later became a store manager at the Cherry, Webb & Touraine Department Store on the North Shore for 15 years prior to her retirement. Maria had been a member of St. Vasilios Church and loved to travel, especially to Greece. She was always willing to help others as well as her family. She is survived by her siblings, Eugenia Tsouvalas, George, Michael Louis and Andrew Tsouvalas all of Peabody, her godchild, Eric Pereira of Plymouth, MA and two special cousins, Natasha and Irene Darras of Westwood, MA and many loving cousins and dear friends. The family of Maria would like to thank all the Care Givers that gave her support and encouragement during these past years. A Visitation will be held on Monday, from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017 at 9:00 AM from the funeral home followed by Services in St. Vasilios Church, Peabody at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
