Obituary of Robert P. Belliveau
Mr. Robert P. “Bells” Belliveau, 89, of Peabody and formerly of Lynn, MA, died early Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Anne (LaMacchia) Belliveau. He was born in Lynn, MA on October 22, 1927, the son of the late Alfred and Marie (Gaudet) Belliveau and was raised and educated there graduating from St. Mary’s High School. He then entered the US Navy where he served for two years before his discharge in 1948. Robert then entered St. Michael’s College in Vermont where he graduated in 1952. Robert was first a school teacher and later became a juvenile probation officer with the Northern Essex County Court system. He was promoted to Chief probation officer which he held for nearly 30 years prior to his retirement in 1991. He enjoyed doing the Boston Globe crossword puzzles and was an avid Red Sox Fan. He had been a member of the Franco-American Post in Lynn and loved to go candle pin bowling. He also liked taking bus trips with friends and family. He is survived by a son, Anthony Belliveau of Wilton Manors, Florida, a daughter-in-law, Janet McClure Belliveau of Haverhill, MA, a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Robert Zuffelato of Peabody, his precious grandchildren, Nicholas Zuffelato, Adam McClure Belliveau and Bradley Zuffelato , his siblings, Alfred and his wife Pauline Belliveau Jr. and Theresa LeBlanc all of Lynn and Joseph and his wife Annette Belliveau of Manchester, NH and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Marie Baribeau and Celia LoGrippo. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, from 3:00 until 6:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. His funeral will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 from the funeral home at 10:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Pius Church, Maple St., Lynn at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Suite 102-B, Danvers, MA 01923 in his memory.
