Obituary of Josephine C. McVann

Josephine C. (Zielinski) Mc Vann, 94, of Lynn died Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Brightview at Danvers. She was the wife of the late James B. Mc Vann. She was born in Peabody MA, the daughter of the late Frank and Blanche (Mroz) Zielinski and was a graduate of Peabody High School in 1941. Josephine had been a Professional Ballroom Dancer and was picked as Queen of the Sea Bee’s pin up girl in 1945. She later became a secretary at the Champion Lamp in Lynn. Josephine became a Real Estate Broker and operated her own company, Real Estate by McVann for many years prior to her retirement.. Jo had been a member of the Center Club of Lynnfield, and also the Lynnfield Woman’s Club, the infant of Prague and a member of the North Shore Organ Society. She enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the Bear Hill Golf Club of Stoneham. She had been a member of the Woman’s Guild at Our Lady of Assumption Church of Lynnfield. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Kobialka and Helen Longo. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Our lady of Assumption Church, 758 Salem St., Lynnfield. Relatives and friends are kindly invited..
