Obituary of Philip Taylor Boyle

Philip Taylor Boyle, 66, of Peabody, died early Tuesday morning at his home following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Judith (Bambury) Boyle with who he shared over 41 years of marriage. Born in Salem, he was the son of Marion (Briggs) (Boyle) Dahlberg and her husband Frank of Topsfield and the late James Boyle. He has was raised in Saugus and attend Saugus Public Schools and was a graduate of Saugus High School, class of 1956. He has lived in Peabody for the past 40 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy who served from 1957 until 1962. Prior to his retirement he worked for Hawkridge Steel Co., in Malden for 20 years and later for Bull Honeywell as a mechanic for 16 years. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time in Stockton, Maine, biking, canoeing, and hiking. He also enjoyed football. Besides his loving wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Philip Boyle Jr., of Fremont, NH; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Rich Rose and Laura and Edward Osyka, all of Peabody; two brothers, Richard Boyle of Sky Valley, Georgia, and James Boyle of North Carolina; a daughter-in-law, Tami Boyle of Peabody and 5 grandchildren, Makayla and Alexandria Rose, Tyler Ksypka, Daniel and Michael Boyle, all of Peabody, and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Daniel Boyle. A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM in St. John’ s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, Ma 01923.
