Obituary of Frederick "Ted" Butler, Jr.

Frederick “Ted” W. Butler, Jr. PEABODY – Frederick “Ted” W. Butler, Jr., 79, beloved husband of Rosemary (Scorzella) Butler, went to glory on Thursday evening October 19, 2017 after a long struggle with various illnesses. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Frederick W. Butler, Sr., and Margaret (Walsh) Butler, and grew up in Waltham. He graduated from Waltham High School. He lived in Winthrop for 25 years, and lived in Peabody for the last 20 years. Ted was a retired Union Electrician, having proudly belonged for many years to Local 103 IBEW in Boston. He is survived by his wife Rosemary (Scorzella) Butler of Peabody, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage, and loving Dad to Lynne M. Butler of Peabody and to Stephen F. Butler & his wife Kelli of Rangeley, ME; devoted grandfather, “Pa” to Steven M. Butler & fiancé Megan, Justin R. Butler, and Dylan Butler all of whom reside in Maine; a brother J. David Butler of Waltham, and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a visitation on Tuesday October 24, 2017 from 10 – 11:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 12 Noon at St. Adelaide’s Church, Peabody. Burial will be in in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 2900 N.
