Obituary of Alice E. (Carlson) Baglio

Alice E. (Carlson) Baglio, 78 PEABODY – Alice E. (Carlson) Baglio, 78, beloved wife of Louis Baglio, died peacefully on Friday October 20, 2017 at the Care One Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Peabody following an extended illness. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Elsa (Glanfalt) Carlson. She was a lifelong resident of the city, and graduated from Peabody High School. Mrs. Baglio was a clerk with New England Telephone for over 30 years before enjoying her retirement. Alice was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She enjoyed many trips with the Peabody Council on Aging as well as visiting at the Torigian Community Life Center in Peabody. She also enjoyed travel to many places, especially Aruba, playing Bingo, and following the Boston Sports teams as the Red Sox, Patriots, and Bruins. Alice will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, as she was always giving of her time to help anyone. She is survived by her husband Louis Baglio of Peabody, with whom she shared 52 years of marriage; two sons, David Baglio, and John & his wife Deborah Baglio all of Peabody; three grandchildren, Lily, Brooke, and Lucas Baglio of Peabody; a brother Chester Carlson & his wife Charlotte of Peabody, and many nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Karl Glanfalt, Alfred Carlson, Harold Carlson, Arthur Carlson, Russell Carlson, and Pauline Crompton. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for her Funeral Service on Wednesday October 25, 2017 at 11 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 – 8 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
