Obituary of Daniel E. Sdankus

Daniel Sdankus PEABODY – Daniel Sdankus, 64, beloved husband of Tina (Martinello) Sdankus, died unexpectedly at the Beverly Hospital on Friday October 20, 2017. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of Josephine (Urbanowitz) Sdankus and the late Edward Sdankus. He grew up in Woburn, and graduated from Woburn High School. Mr. Sdankus worked in the auto body repair field for a number of years. He was gifted with great skills as a handy man, and held several jobs before settling as an owner and operator of Pine Knoll Campground in Albany, NH. Dan enjoyed a wide range of hobbies. He had served as a Selectman in Albany, NH, and was a Range Master at a gun club in New Hampshire. He enjoyed being outdoors, riding his Harley, fishing anywhere, or loading bullets and firing guns at the gun clubs. He is survived by his wife Tina (Martinello) Sdankus of Peabody, with whom he shared 9 years of marriage; five sons and a daughter, Danny Sdankus of Tewksbury, John & his wife Amanda Sdankus, Kelly Gilmore and Reece Gilmore all of Tewksbury, Anthony Carpenito and Stephen Carpenito both of Peabody; one granddaughter Bree Sdankus; his mother, Josephine Sdankus of Woburn; a brother Steven Sdankus of FL; two sisters Barbara Bergeron and Joanne Sdankus both of Woburn, and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a visitation on Monday from 4 – 7 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Service at 7 P.M. in the funeral home. Cremation will be held after the service.
