Obituary of Helen Migas

Helen Migas, 98, of Peabody, died Wednesday evening at Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Louis Migas. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late George and Angeliki (Kostopoulos) Cokorogiannis. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody and attended Peabody Public Schools. She was employed by George’s Transportation in Peabody as a bookkeeper for many years before retiring many years ago. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and puzzle books as well, but her favorite endeavor was spending time with her granddaughter and doing many activities with her. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pauline and Charles Halepakis of Peabody, her sister and brother-in-law, Aristia and Charles Demeris of Haverhill, and is also survived by her granddaughter, Eleni Halepakis of Peabody and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Sissy Migas, and her siblings, Stevie, Billy, and Johnny Cokorogiannis, and Kay Kokinos. Her funeral will be on Monday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody, followed by her Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at St. Vasilios Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
