Obituary of Brian C. Whelan

Brian C. Whelan, 54, of Peabody, passed peacefully on Thursday, October 26, 2017 surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Lynn, MA on December 27, 1962, the son of Claire M. (Carroll) Whelan and the late James F. Whelan and had resided in Peabody most of his life. Brian worked in the plumbing industry and was the main caretaker of his loving mother, Claire. He was always willing to help anyone and share a good laugh. He is survived by his mother of Peabody, a daughter, Casey Whelan of Phoenix, AZ, his siblings and spouses, Tim and Joan Whelan of Marblehead, Dan and Lisa Whelan of Lynnfield, a sister-in-law, Denise Whelan of Lynn and his nieces and nephews, Ashley, TJ, Michael, Terri, Jackie and Jimmy Whelan. He was the brother of the late Rick Whelan. A Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral home at the 82 Lynn St, Peabody facility. His funeral will be held on Monday at 9:00 AM from the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Lynn, St., Peabody at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
