Obituary of Vincent James Rosa

Vincent James Rosa, 20, of Peabody, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning at the Salem Hospital. Born in Winchester, son of Charles and Mary (Lucas) Rosa of Peabody, and Biological son of Jaqueline (Gymziak) Silva of Wilmington. He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody Veterans Memorial High School, class of 2001. He then continued on and was a second year student at Marian Court College in Swampscott. While in High School, he was a member of the varsity Hockey and Lacrosse Teams. He also enjoyed boxing, cooking and swimming in the ocean at Seabrook Beach. Vincent was also involved with the Peabody Youth Hockey League and enjoyed coaching and teaching young children how to skate. Vincent was a caring and giving person whose organs were donated by his family so that he and others may live on Besides his loving parents, he is survived by 6 brothers, Domemic, Charles, twins Francis and Lucas Rosa, all of Peabody and Stephen and Sam Silva of Wilmington, two sisters, Teresa Rosa of Peabody and Jessica Silva of Wilmington, his paternal grandparents, Domenic and Geraldine (Nugent) Rosa of Topsfield, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. His funeral service will be held on Monday at 8:30 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody facility, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in St. Adelaide’ s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are invited to attend . Visitation on Sunday from 4 until 7 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Center for Addictive Behavior, Health and Recovery Services, 111 Middleton Road, Danvers, MA 01923.
