Obituary of Marilyn C. Amodeo
Marilyn C (Tustin) Amodeo, 78, of Salem and formerly of Lynn, died Wednesday morning at the Devereux Nursing Home in Marblehead following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Joseph A. Amodeo. Born in Manchester, NH, she was the daughter of the late George and Winifred (Leonard) Tustin. She was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of St. Mary’s Girl High School, class of 1957. She lived in Salem for the past 49 years. Marilyn worked as a Special Ed Teachers Aid with the city of Salem School Department and later was a CCD teacher at Immaculate Conception Church in Salem as well. Her passion was cooking and her favorite past-time was listening to Irish Music and doing crossword puzzles, however, her favorite endeavor was spending time with her grandchildren and sharing in all of their activities. She is survived by her two daughters, Stacey Amodeo and her partner James Yantosca of Windham, NH and Kim Amodeo-Porter of Peabody, and also by her beloved five grandchildren, Christopher, Amy-Lynn, Nicholas, Andrew, and Isabella. Her Funeral Service will be held on Sunday at 4:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 2:00 until 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Home for Little Wanderers. Burial services will be private.
