Obituary of Hazel (Leslie) Pitchard

Hazel Evelyn Pitchard (Leslie) 93, beloved Wife of the late William R. Pitchard, died peacefully at her home in Lynnfield on December 3, 2017. Hazel was the daughter of the late John M. and Margaret J. Leslie. Hazel leaves behind a brother, John Leslie, of Peabody. Hazel grew up in Lynn, Massachusetts and graduated from Lynn English. Hazel worked for General Electric and upon retiring worked part-time at Macy’s (formerly Jordan Marsh). Hazel had a dry sense of humor and her chuckle was infectious. She had a passion for collecting teddy bears, especially Steiff Bears and loved to travel. Hazel’s greatest love besides her husband was her dog JJ, whom she leaves behind. Hazel also leaves behind the many people who made it possible for her to live out her life at home. Hazel will be missed by all. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Maria Goretti Church, 112 Chestnut St., Lynnfield, MA at 10:00 AM Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
