Obituary of Mary Skaliotis

Mary (Kozik) Skaliotis, 95, of Danvers, died Tuesday afternoon at the Phillips Manor Nursing Home in Lynn following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Nicholas Skaliotis. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Vasil and Telka (Halko) Kozik. She was raised and educated in Salem, attended the Phillips School and later left Salem High School during the depression and went to work at Sylvania. She later lived in Peabody and has spent the last 50 years living in Danvers. Mary worked part-time as a sales clerk at the former Jordan Marsh Store at the North Shore Shopping Center in Peabody for many years. She enjoyed knitting and traveling throughout the country, especially to Hawaii. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son George N Skaliotis, and her siblings, Alexander Kozik, Elizabeth Tsaltas, and Agnes Luz. Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody to which relative and friends are kindly invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
