Obituary of John C Davis

John C Davis, 77, of Peabody, died peacefully on Thursday at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Beverly (Bolduc) Davis with whom he shared over 56 years of marriage. Born in Salem, he was the son of the late George and Alice (Filfalt) Davis. He was a lifelong resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1957. Upon graduating from high school, John enlisted with the United States Navy and served as a Seabee as an electrician for over 2 years before his honorable discharge. Following his military service, John embarked on a 44-year career as an electrician for Sylvania, Norelco and the City of Peabody School Department before he finally retired. Upon his retirement, John enjoyed traveling with his wife to tropical Islands during the winter time, but his favorite endeavor was spending time with his grandchildren in the great outdoors, especially deep-sea fishing. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his son Nickolas Davis and his fiancé Lisa Bissonnette of Sanbornton, NH, his daughter, Stephanie Diachisin and her husband David of Peabody, his brother James Davis of Peabody, his two sisters, Marcia and her husband James McCarthy and Elaine and her husband Leo LeBelle, all of Peabody, his beloved four grandchildren, Christopher Davis and his fiancé Aleigha Campbell of Pittston, ME, Caitlin Davis and her fiancé Lucas Ward of Pittsfield, and Gina and Michael Diachisin of Peabody and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody followed by his Funeral Service at 11:30 AM at the funeral home to which relatives and friends are kindly welcome to attend. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
