Obituary of Barbara Patricia Butler

Barbara Patricia Butler, 69, of Peabody, passed away on January 4, 2018. Born in Salem, she was the beloved daughter of the late Francis and Jennifer (Milewski) Butler. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody and attended St. Joseph’s Polish School in Peabody. Barbara was a communicant at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Peabody and an active member in a variety of roles such as choir member, but more importantly, she loved her work on the St. Thomas the Apostle Social Committee. Barbara also held the honorary title of Activities Assistant as a vibrant member at Sunrise Assisted Living- Gardner Park. She especially enjoyed her arts & crafts classes and the Sundae Socials. She leaves behind her cousins, Diane Keenan of Peabody, Deborah Kolb and her husband Charles of IA, Bill Smith of TN, and David and Roger Sitek, and many broken hearts at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Sunrise Assisted Living and a host of many organizations and people who cared and loved her. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Peabody at 11:00 AM to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM with a Vigil Rosary staring at 7:00 PM. Her burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
