Obituary of Albert L. Cruciani, Sr.
Albert L. Cruciani, Sr., 86 years, husband of Ida M. (McKinnon) Cruciani of Peabody and the late Jean Anne (Blangeard) Cruciani died Thursday at the Kindred Hospital Boston North Shore in Peabody after a brief illness.
Mr. Cruciani was born Jan. 16, 1916 in Cambridge son of the late Leo and Blanche (Gregory) Cruciani. He was raised in Medford and graduated from Medford High School class of 1933. During WWII he served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army with the HQ Co. Military Intelligence as an MP. After the war he was employed for 30 years as a brick layer for the Brick Layers Union Local #3 in Boston until his retirement in 1974. From Medford, he made his home in Wakefield from 1950 to 1976 then moving to Seabrook for 23 years. He had resided in Peabody for the past 3 years.
Mr. Cruciani enjoyed painting, stained glass, woodworking, photography, developing his own film, building model ships, fixing grandfather clocks and needlepoint.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son and his wife, Albert L., Jr. and Patricia Cruciani of Peabody; two daughters and their husbands, Mary A. and Richard Santos and Linda J. and Scott Millea all of Wakefield; a stepdaughter and her husband Carol Ann and John Sullivan of Peabody; eight grandchildren, Lauren Migliaccio of Georgetown, Mark Cruciani of Methuen, Christopher Cruciani of Salem, Michele Sodano of Billerica, Brian Millea of Wakefield, John Sullivan, Jr. of Lynn, Leanne Amirault and Laurie Nerich both of Peabody; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Mary Bernaby.
His funeral will be held Monday at 8 a.m. from the Cahill-Brodeur Facility at 20 Church St., Peabody (978-531-0472) of the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Ann Church, Peabody.
