Obituary of Helen (Tsaltas) Christy

Helen (Tsaltas) Christy, 89, of Beverly, died Wednesday afternoon at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Nicholas G. Christy with whom she shared over 66 years of marriage. Born in New York, New York, she was the daughter of the late John and Constantina (Christ) Tsaltas. Upon the birth of her children, she dedicated herself to raising her family and later enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and sharing in all of their endeavors. She also enjoyed family gatherings, shopping and spending time with her family. She is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law, George and Sharon Christy of Beverly and Robert Christy of Peabody, her sister, Patricia Flomp of Salem and is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Rob and his wife Cathy Christy, Jennifer Clark, Mark and his wife Jennifer Christy, her great grandchildren, Brayden and Isabella Clark, Lauren and Lila Christy, and Thea Christy and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, George Tsaltas, Mabel Hatzes, and Peggy Tzortzis and her daughter-in-law Helen Christy. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody, followed by he Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at St. Vasilios Church, Paleologos St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Monday from 3:00 until 6:00 PM. Burial in Harmony Grove Cemetery, Salem.
