Obituary of Gary R. Pellegrini, Sr.

Gary R. Pellegrini, Sr. PEABODY – Gary R. Pellegrini, Sr., died peacefully on Thursday January 11, 2018 at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Boston, in the presence of his family, after a heroic fight with cancer. Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Robert and Dorothy (Giles) Pellegrini. He lived in Peabody for many years, and Quincy the past several. He graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1973. Gary was a highly skilled carpenter early in his career. Later he worked as a Machinist with General Electric of Lynn and Gloucester Engineering before taking an early retirement. Gary had an adventurous spirit, and enjoyed being outdoors. He was passionate about exploring, whether on the water, running, walking, or taking a drive. He was a highly skilled boater. He enjoyed camping at many places, especially at Pawtuckaway in Raymond, NH. He was gifted mechanically, and was devoted to his family and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by those who knew him. He is survived by his life-partner Pearl Fedrick of Quincy; two sons Gary, Jr. & wife Jane of Fremont, NH, Stephen & wife Vanessa of Madbury, NH, daughter Elizabeth Pellegrini of Concord, NH. He had five beautiful grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Jan Pellegrini and her wife Eileen Duff, of Gloucester, a brother, Ron Pellegrini and partner Tanya Jenkins of Gloucester. He had two nephews and a niece, and Pearl’s family on the South Shore. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a visitation on Thursday January 18, 2018 from 10:30 AM to 12 Noon followed by a Funeral Service at 12 Noon in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
