Obituary of George F. DiGregorio

George F. DiGregorio, 60. of Peabody, died Monday evening at Union Hospital following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Maureen (Coyle) DiGregorio with whom hw shared over 40 years of marriage. Born in Somerville, he was the son of the late George and Claudile (Palmachi) DiGregorio. He was a raised in the Winter Hill section of Somerville and attended Somerville Public Schools and was a graduate of Somerville Trade High School, class of 1961. He was a Master Electrician by trade in the Billerica area and for thirty years ran and operated an automotive repair and collision center in the Lynn/Saugus area before his retirement. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed gambling and playing gin, and more importantly, spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Tara DiGregorio of Danville, NH, and Greg and Maria DiGregorio of Raymond, NH; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Cheryl Ann DiGregorio Dandreo of Swampscott, and Krystina and Ben Selecky of Okinawa, Japan; a brother, Ronald Carvalho of Michigan; six grandchildren, Alyssa Dandreo, Karrisa, Michael, Nicole, Dylan, and Brooke DiGregorio and several niece, nephews, cousins and brother-in-laws and sisters-in-law. His funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church at 11:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Thursday from 4 until 8:00 PM. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
