Obituary of Eileen M (Collins) Bresnahan

Eileen M. (Collins) Bresnahan, 88, of Peabody, died peacefully on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody. She was the wife of the late Frederick R. Bresnahan. She was born in Salem, MA on October 5, 1929, the daughter of the late Edward and Johanna (Mahoney) Collins and had resided in Peabody most of her life. She was a graduate of St. John’s Girls High School in 1948. Eileen had been a receptionist at the Melanson Reality Co. of Peabody for many years. She was a dedicated homemaker raising her family and had enjoyed going to Bingo at the K of C on Sunday evenings. She loved to knit and made many items for her family and also loved animals, especially her cat “Liza”. She is survived by her sons, Timothy and his wife Deborah Bresnahan and Gary Bresnahan, all of Peabody, her grandsons, Frederick and Eric Bresnahan both of Peabody, her brothers-in-law, Francis J. Bresnahan and wife Dorothy of Peabody and Philip Bresnahan and wife Lillian of Ireland and many nieces and nephews. At her request, a family Service was held on Thursday at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
