Obituary of Mark E. Gill

Mark E. Gill, 58, of Peabody, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House with his family at his side. Mark was born in Salem on March 3, 1959, son of Shirley L. (Gerrish) Gill and the late Alfred P. Gill. Raised in Peabody, he graduated from St. John’s Preparatory School in Danvers, pursued his education at Tufts University and received his degree in Business Administration from Salem State College. Mark began his banking career as a loan officer at Eastern Bank and was later employed in the same capacity at Santander Bank and most recently for Bank of America. He enjoyed spending time with family, golfing and traveling. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Shannon E. Gill and her fiancé Nate Newman of Gloucester. A son, Liam P. Gill of Topsfield and his former wife Ann Gill of Topsfield; 4 brothers and their spouses: Timothy and Stacey Gill of Ramona CA, Thomas Gill of San Diego CA, Richard and Angela Gill of Peabody and Stephen Gill of Peabody; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, February 3rd from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at 82 Lynn St., Peabody.
