Obituary of Mary L. (Walsh) Baxter

Mary L. (Walsh) Baxter, 75, of Peabody formerly of Malden, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, February 1, 2018. Mary was born in Winthrop on December 15, 1942 daughter of the late Joseph and Louise (Hagan) Walsh. Raised and educated in Revere she resided in Malden for many years prior to moving to Peabody in 2003. She was employed for 10 years as a home health aide with the Somerville VNA. Mary was a loving mother who dedicated her life to her family, and after moving to Peabody she and her sister Margaret spent precious time walking together and going out to eat. Mary is survived by 4 sons, Scott Baxter of Reading, Thomas Baxter and Robert Baxter both of NH, and Brian Baxter and his wife Kathleen of VA; a sister, Margaret Ventola and her husband William of Peabody; a brother, Joseph Walsh and his wife Patricia of FL; a daughter-in-law, Karen Baxter of East Boston; 16 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, her nieces and nephews, William Jr., Deborah, Jill, Pamela, John, Kathy, Michael and Patrick. She was also predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Joanne Baxter. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, February 7th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home at 9 a.m. on Thursday, February 8th followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 16 Church St., Peabody.
