Obituary of Charles W. Scott

Charles W. Scott, 91, of Peabody and formerly of Lynn, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 at Atria Merrimack Place in Newburyport following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Agnes Veronica (Keegan) Scott with whom he shared over 63 years of marriage. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Charles C. and Elsie (Borjesan) Scott. He was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School. He enlisted into the U.S. Army in 1944 and served as a Corporal with Battery C 284th Battalion in France and Germany and was honorably discharged in 1946. Charles lived in Peabody for over 50 years. Charles was employed for 43 years as an inspector in the aircraft division at G.E. in Lynn. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and grandchildren and being there for them at their time of need. His favorite team was the Red Sox but he was also an avid fan of all sports and enjoyed swimming in his younger days. He is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Diane and John Sudak of Georgetown, his twin grandchildren, Michael J. Sudak and his companion Janine of Portsmouth, NH and Jennifer L. Sloat and her husband Gordon of Windham ME; his siblings and their spouses, Ruth Britton, Ethel Trefrey, Arlene and Jack Rawding, all of Beverly, Florence Hezekiah, Barbara and Fred Davis, all of Lynn, Richard and Betsy Scott of Salem, and Wesley Scott of Sandown NH; many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 8th from 4 p.m. to 8p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at 82 Lynn St., Peabody. His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 9th at 11 a.m. at the funeral home to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
