Obituary of Irving Zuckerman

Irving Zuckerman, 92, of Peabody, formerly of Boston, died peacefully Saturday evening at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington following a long illness. He was the husband of the late Irene (Cirillo) Zuckerman. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Louis and Sarah (Landers) Zuckerman. He was raised and educated in Boston and was a graduate of Boston Public Schools. He has lived in Peabody for the past 53 years. Irving was a lab technician for over 36 years at the American Biltrite Rubber Company in Chelsea before retiring many years ago. He was a veteran of WWII who served with the United States Army and also served in the Korean War with the United States Navy. In his retirement, he enjoyed dinning out and traveling with his companions. He is survived by his loving son and daughter, Alan P Zuckerman of Peabody and Robin A. Zuckerman of Eliot, ME, and by his sister Claire Wolfe of Waltham. He is also survived by his cherished companion, Belkis DeLarosa and her extended family and Irving’s family is forever grateful of their care and compassion during these last few years. He was predeceased by his siblings, Aaron and Ethel Zuckerman and his long-time companion Beatrice O’Kane. A private graveside service was held on Tuesday at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
