Obituary of Barbara Jean (Yergeau) Ballard
Barbara Jean (Yergeau) Ballard, 41, of West Peabody,
died Friday at the Union Hospital, Lynn,MA after a brief illness. She was the wife of
David L. Ballard.
She was born in Manchester, NH on February 11, 1962, the daughter of Elaine (Dearborn) Yergeau of Portsmouth, N.H. and Joseph R. Yergeau also of
Portsmouth, NH. She was raised in Portsmouth and graduated from Portsmouth High
School in 1980. She was a graduate of University of New Hampshire in 1984 and following her marriage in 1987 had resided in Peabody Ma for the past 16 years.
She had been employed as a department manager for Shaw’ s Supermarkets in
Beverly and Peabody for 15 years and for the past 8 months was the office manager for
Cicoria Tree Services of Lynnfield.
She and her husband became involved in many
Community and school and church activities, but her first priority was that of a loving
wife and devoted mother. She was a school Aide at St. John’ s School in Peabody and also helped in the Girl Scouts Program.
Surviving her besides her husband and parents are 3 children, David L. Ballard 111, Brittney and Megan Ballard all students at St. John’ s School, of Peabody, 2 brother and sisters-in-law, Glen and Kim Yergeau of Windham, NH and Kenneth and Jannette Yergeau of Stevensville, Mi, a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Michael Royer of Portsmouth, NH, a step-mother, Barbara Niland Yergeau of Portsmouth, NH, her mother-in-law, Theresa Ballard of Peabody, two brother-in-laws, Steven and his wife Erica Ballard of Middleton, MA and Timothy and his wife Darnyl Ballard of West Peabody and a sister-inlaw, Susan Ballard of Danvers, MA, her dog, Rocky and nine nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility followed by a
Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church, Peabody at 11:00 a.m. Burial in Puritan Lawn Mem.
Park, Peabody. Visiting hours on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Barbara Ballard
