Obituary of Margaret "Magee" (Fleming) Murphy
It is with sad and heavy hearts that the family of Margaret ( Magee) Fleming Murphy says goodbye to her who in life gave and gave of herself. Magee died very unexpectedly Friday night. Her family and friends were blessed to have had her in their midst for 72 years. Magee leaves behind her husband Paul, her two daughters, Maureen Mc Carthy and her husband Jim of Milford, NH and Leah Dyleski of Danvers, Paul’s son Eric Murphy of Kensington, NH , his wife Laurie and their daughter Sarah, Paul’s daughter, Diana Murphy of Peabody. Magee leaves three grandchildren Christopher McCarthy of Milford, NH, Courtney McCarthy of Cambridge and Hannah Grenier and her husband Casey of Colorado Springs. Magee is also part of a large family being the fourth of nine children loved and nurtured by her late parents, Margaret and Eugene Fleming of Methuen. She leaves her brother Bob and his wife Mary of Methuen, Ted and his wife Ethel of Londonderry, NH, Sr. Cathy Fleming, SND of Danvers, Sr. Lori Fleming, SND of Lowell, Rita-Gene Landers and her husband Bill of Ocala, Fl, Michel Phaneuf and her husband Marc of Hudson, NH, Christine Lees and her husband Bobby of Londonderry, NH and the late MaryBeth Fleming of Salisbury. “Auntie Gee “ also leaves numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. We were all blessed to have her in our lives. Magee was employed for many years as a supervisor at Gillette. After her retirement, she and Paul spent their time with family and doing the things they liked best: boating, traveling, reading, cooking. Magee was a major bargain shopper! The love and joy that she shared in life will sustain her family in this time of sadness. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, February 14th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, February 15th at 10 a.m. from the funeral home followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 16 Church St., Peabody. Burial at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that you make a donation to the charity of your choice in her name.
