Obituary of Barbara A. (Puchniak) Mattuchio

Barbara A. (Puchniak) Mattuchio, 55, of Peabody, wife of Edward R. Mattuchio, passed away unexpectedly at the Lahey Medical center in Burlington on Tuesday, February 13, 2018. Barbara was born in Flushing, NY on May 10, 1962 the daughter of Mary A. (Yurgosky) Puchniak and the late John S. Puchniak. The energy in the room became magical when Barbara was present. She would make heads turn with her beauty & charisma, but it was her internal beauty that made her so irresistibly gorgeous. Barbara welcomed everyone with open arms, and touched the lives of so many with compassion and grace. Her homemade meals and soft calming voice made everyone at peace. She truly accepted and cared for each person in her life and radiated the gift of love from the bottom of her heart. Barbara was enamored with the love of her grandson and enjoyed caring for and connecting her family. In addition to her husband of 36 years, and her mother of Peabody, Barbara is survived by her daughters Jennifer Mattuchio of San Diego, CA, Heather Mattuchio Fuller and her husband Randy Fuller of Hamilton, her cherished grandson A.J. Fuller; brothers, John Puchniak of Peabody, Richard Puchniak and wife Julia Bambara of Manchester by the Sea, Stephen Puchniak of Boca Raton, FL, and Robert Puchniak of Boston; a sister, Diane Puchniak of Peabody, and many nieces and nephews. Her family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, February 19 from 1-4pm at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 20th at 10am at St. Adelaide Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody.
