Obituary of Laurinda F. (Dillon) Mitchell

Laurinda F. (Dillon) Mitchell, 65, of Peabody, wife of William D. Mitchell, passed away at the NSMC-Salem Hospital on Thursday, February 22, 2018, with her loving family at her side. Laurinda was born in Jacksonville, FL on May 6, 1952, daughter of the late Duane L. and Audrey J. (Amenda) Dillon. She grew up as an “Air Force Brat”, graduated high school in California and then pursued her education and obtained an Associates Degree in Business. Laurinda was employed for 11 years at Fresenius Medical Care, which manufactures kidney dialysis equipment, and was presently employed as an education coordinator at Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts in Middleton. As hobbies, she enjoyed designing floral arrangements, and doing arts and crafts. Laurinda loved being with family and, most of all, spending time with her cherished grandchildren. In addition to her husband Bill, with whom she shared 18 years of marriage, she is survived by 3 step daughters and their husbands, Laurie and Michael Keaney of Lynn, Tracey Mitchell of Peabody, and Caitlin and Brian Campbell of Danvers; her cherished grandchildren, Ella Keaney, Zachary and Madison Campbell, and a brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Kathy Dillon of McSherrystown, PA. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, February 26th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A private family service and committal of ashes will be held at a later time. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
