Obituary of Ernest F. Manos

Ernest F. Manos, 51 DANVERS – Ernest F. Manos, 51, of Danvers, MA, passed away unexpectedly on February 22, 2018, at Beverly Hospital due to a heart complication. He was the son of the late, Francis W. Manos, the late Maria A (Serpa) Manos and Lydia Ouellette of Salisbury. Ernie, as he was known by all, was a lifelong resident of Danvers, MA, He attended Danvers Public Schools and graduated from Danvers High School in 1984. His career as a highly skilled machinist led him to work for several manufacturing companies along the North Shore. Most recently, he was employed by Quick Manufacturing Co in Danvers. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, he most enjoyed taking long rides on his bike. He participated in many races at area tracks. His favorite event was racing super bikes in Laconia. As a young man, he trained out of the AOH boxing club in Salem, winning many titles, most notably, he was a Golden Glove Champion. Ernie was viewed by most as the “go to guy” in any situation. Without question or hesitation, he would drop everything to help loved ones and strangers in a time of need. He was a strong leader and the foundation of the family that he loved deeply. He was often found tinkering in his garage with his brother, Bill and many friends, always working on his latest car or mechanical project. He was the friend everyone wanted and the person most looked to for advice or an ear to listen. He will be deeply missed by many. Ernie leaves behind two daughters, Jillian and Shauna Manos, both of Danvers, two brothers, William Manos of Salem and Gene Ouellette of Salisbury, two sisters, Jennifer Manos of Peabody and Marilyn Manos of Wilmington, a niece, Serena Manos and five nephews: Michael Manos, Niall Vallega, William Manos, and Talon and Raymond Ouellette. He Also leaves behind his true love, partner and best friend Julie Lefavour of Beverly. Services will be held at Conway, Cahill - Broder Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, in Peabody, on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 4-8. Visiting hours are from 4-7, followed by a Memorial Service at 7 P.M. There will be a private burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation at www.wish.org.
